 What to expect: Flagstone pathways meander through an open-air atrium with palm trees, bromeliads, orchids, and Asian art. Peaceful koi ponds, sparkling waterfalls, and swinging rope bridges dot the lush tropical grounds, and the ocean beckons at the edge of the resort. Amenity highlights: Waterfalls, tropical gardens, and grottos highlight the 750,000-gallon, half-acre pool. A lagoon-style, sloped-entry children’s pool features dancing fountains. Hyatt Regency Maui Property amenities  The Hyatt Regency Maui is arrayed on 40 tropical acres along the south end of Kaanapali Beach, at the end of the beach walk. Kaanapali’s famed golf courses are across from the resort. Dining-and-refreshment choices include a seafood/sushi spot with waterfalls, the Grotto Bar with swimup side, an intimate Italian restaurant, and open-air and ocean-view lounges. The Spats Nightclub opens every Saturday for dancing and DJ entertainment. Rooftop telescope stargazing is available nightly (surcharge). Camp Hyatt Maui—open daily and nightly—welcomes children for activities such as tapa (bark) cloth making, rooftop stargazing, visiting a fire dancer at the luau, and hula dancing.
