Harking back to the days of the Hawaii Calls radio program, which was broadcast from the hotel for 40 years, the hotel hosts a concert in the open-air Banyan Court every second Thursday of each month. Featured artists include Holunape, Pali, Makana, Marlene Sai—one of Hawaii’s most well-known entertainers, and Raiatea Helm—the 18-year-old singing sensation. There is no admission charge; appetizers and cocktails will be available for purchase. Or, reservations can be made for a sunset dinner on the Banyan Veranda overlooking the courtyard. Rooted in an era of steamships and Martin Denny music, the oceanfront Sheraton Moana Surfrider in central Waikiki offers afternoon tea, oceanfront dining with Hawaiian entertainment, and a sundeck and swimming pool under a banyan tree. The resort offers a complimentary guided historic tour three times a week. The hotel provides 24-hour airport shuttle service, by request (surcharge).

 

Wireless Internet access is available in public areas (surcharge). Signing privileges for dining, entertainment, and facilities (except pools) are allowed at three other Sheraton hotels in Waikiki. Recreation

The Moana Surfrider has a private, roped-off beach, with amenities such as lounge chairs and watersports equipment (fees may apply). A sundeck shaded by a banyan tree surrounds a medium-sized freshwater pool.

 

Waikiki Beach, adjacent, offers many watersports and beach activities, including snorkeling, catamaran sails, and canoe paddling; the resort can arrange these activities (surcharges may apply). A surfing school is also nearby (surcharge). The Sheraton Moana Surf offers signing privileges for dining, entertainment, and facilities (except pools) at three partner properties in Waikiki.

 

Guest have full access to the fitness center and children’s programs at the Sheraton Waikïkï. Within one mile are a public golf course, and the tennis courts and jogging paths of Kapiolani Park.
