The trip was wonderful. All was great. The Alii condo was huge and very nice. The only negative was strong trade winds blowing the first 6-7 days. We spent equal time touring, on the water, and just relaxing. We highly recommend Captain Steve's Lanai snorkel tour and Valley Isle Excursions' Hana tour. Molokini is overrated. Snorkeling is great right from the beach at Black Rock and Honolua Bay. Thanks for all you did helping us arrange our trip. I can't think of anything you could have done additionally or differently. We had to call the front desk after the first night because the sleeper sofa sank in the middle (it was only being supported by 3 springs and it was supposed to have 8) and the batteries were dead in the remote control. Maui was amazing, definitely much better than I had originally thought it would be. We had such a great time, we've decided we'll have to go back! Hi Leslie! Thanks for all your help with planning this for us we had a wonderful time! We could see a lot of whales from our resort J and the water was around 75 degrees so it was really nice for body boarding (Nick’s favorite water sport). My mom got us a gift certificate to do the helicopter ride and the bike trip down the Volcano (Haleakala- spelling). These were so cool because we got to see parts of the island we probably wouldn’t have seen. The last thing we did was a luau on Thursday night which was so neat also. We had such a great time and I really appreciate all your help! I’ll be sure to let you know next time I’m planning our vacation! Thanks, Lindsey
Hi Paul, Our vacation was great! Thanks again for all your help and planning - it was nice already having everything lined up and waiting for us! The resort was beautiful - one of the nicest places on the island. We weren't able to go on the helicopter tour because the clouds were too low over the mountain each day we re-scheduled so we had to get reimbursed for that - but other than that - it all went very smooth. I already have been telling people about Travel Wizard and will be sure to send them your way if anyone asks. I don't foresee us going anywhere extravagant for a couple years - but when we do - I will definitley return. Thanks Again, Kelly
Stephen Funk We both appreciated everything you did to make our vacation trip a huge success. As I told you on the phone, our accommodations at Resortquest Papakea were great. We even had a door bell! The kids enjoyed having an ice dispenser in the refrig door, something we don't have at home. Carla's only complaint was that the birds woke her up at 5 a.m. Doug was able to pick up our rental with no problems and it held all of us and our luggage easily. You made a good choice there. The flight home was interesting. We had to change waiting areas 3 x's in Philadelphia, but they eventually got all of us and our luggage to Cleveland . At times I felt we were pests, but it was wonderful working with you and you were so patient, so nice and so helpful. If I ever recover from jet lag and decide to travel again, I would definitely give you a call. In fact I now have your name and phone number in my personal directory. Thanks Lidia! It was a wonderful trip. Both hotels upgraded us to ocean view rooms and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at both of them. We didn't have a chance to try out any of the restaurants at the Royal Lahaina but we had a nice dinner at Kai at the Sheraton.
We did a drive out to the Volcano on the 31st and took an early morning air tour on Wednesday (at 7am so we could make the flight to Maui) to see the lava flows and the water falls, that was amazing! We snorkeled with sea turtles on the big island, my wife loved that. I upgraded the car to a convertible on Maui, it was perfect for the road to Hana! I'll send you some pics once we sort through them (we took about 800!)

REVIEW of Resort:
The Four Seasons has customer service down. We had champagne in our room each evening. We had flowers is a heart on our bed one evening. It was great!
The staff was plentiful and conscientious, friendly and interested in meeting and talking with us. The property was beautiful, quiet, and well laid out. Weather was Chamber of Commerce, the water unbelievable. If there was one thing we were not crazy about, it would have been some of the restaurant fare. Most was good. Some was not to our tastes. All in all a memorable trip!!!

Our trip went smoothly in every regard -- even the airlines behaved themselves and flights ran on time. (I heard somewhere that Hawaiian Airlines has a terrific record in this regard...?) And of course the Grand Hyatt is, as I kept saying to my husband, "impossibly beautiful." We walked the grounds every night around sunset and I had a couple of treatments at the Amara Spa there -- both of which were fabulous! We
loved the exercise room, the bountiful breakfast buffet -- which always eliminated the need for lunch -- and the other restaurants as well. The only tough part was finding vegetarian fare for dinner. Usually vegetarians do well with Italian food, but Dondera's had NO vegetarian items on the entree menu. They were, as everyone was, very accommodating and helped up cobble together wonderful dinners without the meat or fish. I've always been surprised that Hawaii has so little to offer vegetarians. It was certainly so on our first trips there, but those were years ago and I thought that perhaps, post Hurricane Iniki, that things had changed. It was actually MORE difficult this time to find vegetarian dinners. Oh, well... It's a small thing. But I think that perhaps someone like you has a stronger "voice" with these resorts and perhaps you could make a case for catering a bit more to folks who don't eat meat or fish...MANY thanks again, Patricia, for all you did to make our vacation so blissful and "snag-free"... We are pretty flexible on the dates and want the best deal. We also need help choosing a reasonably priced hotel room that can accomodate a family of 5. and I were very pleased with Stacy and the coordination support he gave us. We had very little to do once we were in Maui to get ready for the wedding so we were able to enjoy our time there more. We had thought enough ahead to also Bring our Birth certificates which were not required, but had some needed information on them. Same was true for our ex's (death Cert. & Divorce Cert.). Our marriage lic. Agent turned out to be a character. Besides being an Lic. Agent she was also an answering service for several different business. We were both chuckling at every time she answered the phone it was for a different Business. Visited several places while we were there, enjoyed a lot of good food, got Betty into the ocean she was scared of, snorkeling and she liked it, did some whale watching and saw several. Also attend the Old Lahanai Lau, which because I had chosen mat seating, we were right in the front row. The whole thing was kind of dreamy and was afraid I was going to wake up soon. I think I cried when we headed back to the airport. When I do a vacation at this level in the future this is the way I will go. Hi Patricia, The trip was awsome! We had so much fun! The weather was really good. We want to go back, one week went so fast. We thought we would see if you could get us some info on renting a condo there and is it much cheaper? The hotel was awesome, no complaints, staff was friendly and we got our room upgraded to a suite! The hotel was clean and nicely renovated. Rick was really nice and down to earth! We would highly recomend him. We had the week of our dreams! All thanks to you. We are having a problem with the photos though. We bought the copyrights from the photographer and brought home the photos on a disc, because they were so nice and so many to choose from. But the disc is a dvd not a cd and we cant get them on the computer or the dvd player. So I have a friend that is going to see if she knows how to get them. She's a little beter on computers than me. If she cant I will call him and see what he says. We paid him a lot of money for this disc of photos so hopefully we can figure it out. Hi Patricia....Our vacation was okay. The weather could have been better (very cloudy) but we did get 2 or 3 days of sunshine. The Marriott is beautiful but the beach was a BIG disappointment. It seems it was public and people who weren't guests at the Marriott were allowed along with their dogs. There was dog poop all over the place...it wasn't too appealing.
On the whole I think if I were to visit the Hawaiian island again it would not be I didn't get to zipline.....the weather was not to agreeable and I didn't see the sense of doing it in the rain. The Hyatt in Kauai was beautiful. The hotel was amazing and the service was great.
The Royal Lahaina was quite different from the Hyatt, but at the considerably lower cost, I expected as much. The rooms were nice and brand new. A nice touch was their check-in service, in which a representative from the hotel walked us directly into our room for an in room check-in. No lines and no confusing directions to your room are always nice. On the flip side, our rep wasn't very knowledgeable about the hotel and didn't seem to be able to answer our questions regarding restaurant recommendations, etc. This also seemed to be a common theme with much of their staff. The beach at the Royal Lahaina was great. Easy to relax on and very swimable.
All together, we had a great time. Thanks for all your help. We'll certainly contact you if/when we plan our next trip.

There is something special about the tone of the songs when sung by a Hawian choir. Swam with a family of sea turtles 3 days out of 4! Of course truly treasured spending time with Jeffrey. Hi Gretchen, Maui was an absolute blast! It was a relaxing vacation that I really needed! It was funny. . . at first when we got there, we were like, wow, there is only couples here which is pretty much the way it is. We where thinking man, we should have gone to another more happening island. But, by the 2nd or 3rd day we thought it was absolute paradise and couldn't imagine ever going to another island! Probably the best place ever to take a date... which is definitely not what it was, but we had an awesome time! I will be going back for sure. Now I want to explore more islands over there. You are our vacation travel agent from now on!! Thanks you for all your help. Didn't know if you had any interest at all in any update I could share with you about our vacation so you could add it to your "bank" of knowledge about Hawaii for future clients. The Wailea Marriott was really fabulous. The have completed all room renovations and last thing they are doing is a new Serenity Pool which is to open next year. Wow, it will be beautiful. Also redoing front check in counter so will be beautiful too. Rooms in "out buildings" where we were were best. Mostly families with kids in Tower. Grounds manicured to perfection, fabulous breakfast buffet. Use same restaurant for dinner so not much atmosphere so we went elsewhere. Not too crowded by pool. Classy crowd of people, not too many kids at all. We walked next door to Grand Wailea one day and there had to be 300 people by the pool!!! Hotel is gorgeous as you know but very very crowded and tons of teenagers!! Also walked through beautiful Fairmont but it was really a zoo too!! I think for faily quiet it would be our Marriott or Four Seasons. Really loved Wailea area. Not as many families, teenagers etc as Kaanapalii etc. Loved loved loved Shops at Wailea (Bill was in a panic!!) Ate at Longhi's and Tommy Bahama both fabulous. Drove to Pa'ia one day had been to Hana a couple times before. Ate at Mama's Fish House, beautifully situated on white sand beach, food was fabulous. Loved the Wailea Marriott.JW Marriott Ko'Olina was so beautiful to drive into. High rise as you know but just gorgeous. Newly developed area as you know so not very built up yet although new million dollar condos now for sale, we went through models. Different from Wailea though. More high rise feel. Beautifully appointed room but honestly, I think I like the more "hawaiian" feel of Wailea Marriott. Breakfast Buffett was superb, like Wailea but even more to choose from. Lots of rich families :-)))) Really, more kids than other hotel believe it or not. Guess lots of people with kids are tired of Waikiki. We went to Doris Duke Shangra La by Diamond Head. Have to purchase tickets months in advance from Honolulu Academny of the Arts but SOOOO worth it. You meet at Academy in Honolulu and they drive out small group in their vans. Highly recommended. Went with our Ventura neighbors across the street who have a condo in Waikiki. Went to look at various condos on day. Very interesting and expensive. Went to Kahala Hotel for lunch. Oh my gosh, just beautiful. Real old Hawaii feel. Would like to stay there. Thanks again for doing such a great job for us. Debbie

We loved the area and highly recommend that as well. We drove to Kaanapali and it was fun for an afternoon but we loved getting back to the quieter and shadier side. Dear Patricia, Sorry i did not get back to you sooner, but when i got back from Hawaii i had to turn aound and head for work. We had a wonderful time and are thinking of going again in the future. The snorkling and the 7A tour were fantastic. the 7A tour is a island tour with Pearl Harbor added. Germaine's Luau was great as well. We where told to do the polynesian cultural center but run out of time to do so. Will be sending photos and a cd of things when i get back home. Thank you Sharon...you did an awesome job. We had a wonderful time! My husband wasn't particularly looking forward to time on Waikiki (was too crowded for him when we were there last), but we liked the hotel at the end of the beach..for us it was a great location! Even though it was Spring break, it wasn't crowded and we had a great time. The Big Island of Hawaii continues to be our favorite and the sun, sand, beach, snorkeling, fishing.....all were fabulous! Dallas wanted to call you from Hawaii and tell you thank you, but we had a Lava Flow and forgot to! :)

Thankfully, we got home safe and sound last night, or should I say this morning at 3:00 a.m. (supposed to be 11:30 pm) thanks to a 'mechanical issue' and eventual plane change...we just got word that the airline (Harmony Air) is going under, so that may have something to do with it all in the long run - thankfully you didn't arrange that part of our trip! Highlights were upgrading to a 2 seater convertible Chey Crossfire and driving the road to Hana. Dennis revisited his old haunts from when he jumped from and swam 7 pools in the early 1990's. Also, we took a dinner cruise and saw (and smelled!) two different types of whales, 'false-killer whale' (very rare - they come around 1 or 2 times a year), and humpbacks. Very cool! Also, swimming and snorkelling with a turtle. The Sheraton was amazing and perfect - just down the back from all the action, but within walking distance to fun restaurants and shopping if we wanted. I planed my vacation to Maui with Diane Costa and I would like to tell you how wonderful she was. My vacation was a fantastic trip and a memorable vacation--- and I can't forget unforgetable. My now wife Meci, must have called Diane everyday. Diane was always excited to talk to her, even if she called after hours. The hotel, we loved it, the Fairmont Kea Lani. My wife and I walked in to the room and it felt like we were looking in a magazine, Diane had also left us a gift basket. The room was so beautiful, and the view was breathtaking. I was reluctant to chose this hotel because of the price, but Diane and my wife persuaded me to do it--- and it was so worth it.
We had the best activates you could ever ask for. We went snorkeling in Molokini. That was the best thing we had ever done, it was like being inside of a giant aquarium. The water was so clear you could see the bottom. The fish were so colorful. The boat we were on was the Four Winds II, our captain was Captain John and he was great. I won a t-shirt on board. We also went on a dinner cruise, the food was terrific and the drinks great. The sunset sail was something for us to remember. We took our daughter on a Submarine ride that was really exciting. And I can't forget to mention my wedding. Diane didn't plan my wedding but she was a huge part of it. We had 10 people in our group and one child. Every day my daughter asked if we could go back to Hawaii. She's just 3 she can't quite say Hawaii yet. We got to Maui in February 12 and the family left on February 16. We needed some time to our self so we came back to Texas on February 21th. I just wanted to stop and say how great Diane Costa was--- you can always find a travel agent, but finding a travel that you like is great, and Diane is great. We had planed another trip with her, a Cruises, but we just found out my wife is expecting a child. I 'm really excited because it is my first biological child. I can't wait to plan another vacation in the near future. Thank you so much Diane you were great, Meci and I both really appreciate what you did for me and all of our other family members. Dear Linda, 70th Birthday Celebration! We loved our Hawaiian vacation !!!!! All the arrangements worked out great. We loved the Hilton Waikoloa Village, the Hotel grounds are very beautiful, the Lagoon tower was really convenient to the swimming pools and all the other options. We were really impressed with the caves and the waterfalls. I would have liked a brighter Bathroom, the lighting was not very good, but it was functional and there was a place for everything. All in all it was an amazing experience. The breakfast in both Hotels was wonderful, and quite a saving at having it included in the room price. The best on the Big Island was the Helicopter tour, what an experience, so glad we did not cancel. The dinner cruises were both very good, the food was excellent on both. Also the Luau in Lahaina was fantastic, the show was wonderful, the food was good. I was a little disappointed in the pork, it was stringy and dry, but plenty to drink, and the staff was great. What can I say about the Fairmont, except it exceeded our expectations !!! What a wonderful Hotel, we did not want to leave. Thank you for arranging all those extras, the basket with Macadamia nuts,sodas,juice,popcorn and cookies was great, as was the bottle of Korbel and a Hawaiian Gold Pinapple,with Happy Birthday wishes. All in all it made me feel very special. Thank you Linda, and if we are ever planning an other big vacation, I will certanly contact you.
