 Ambalangoda is also the best place to see Kolam masks being made. There is a mask museum here, and an annual "Kolam Dance" organized by the Ambalangoda school of dance.
Galle Dutch Fort - Galle is Sri Lanka's most historically interesting living city. Until the late 19th Century Galle was the major port in Sri Lanka, and still handles shipping today.
The Galle Fort is one of the most prominent attractions in Galle, and has been declared a World Heritage Site. It was built in 1663 by the Dutch who took possession of Galle from the Portuguese in 1640.
