Bird Island is the most northerly in the Seychelles archipelago. A 30-minute flight from Mahé, this coral island is best known for the two or three million sooty terns that nest here from May to October.
Desroches Island
Desroches lies about 143 miles southwest of Mahé, in the Amirantes group. Most of the rim in the lagoon is submerged, which makes for excellent scuba diving and big game fishing.
