The glorious varieties of flora and fauna, the cool hill stations and the serene grace that permeates all aspects of the Sinhalese way of life make a visit to this island kingdom an intriguing adventure.

This journey includes visits to Anuradhapura, cradle of Sinhala civilization, Polonaruwa, with its immense carvings, and magnificent views from the dizzying cliff-top citadel at Sigiriya. Kandy is considered the true heart of Sri Lanka and its dense tropical forests and cinnamon and nutmeg plantations scent the breeze. Visit the Temple of the Tooth, a pilgrimage site for millions of devout Buddhists from around the world.

Along the southern coast, stay at the lush oceanside retreat of Amanwella and Amangalla in the historic 17th century fortress city of Galle. Then, return to the capital city Colombo, a mix of architecture from Dutch to Portuguese to British Colonial.
