The Gallery of plaster casts is formed by two communicating rooms located in the first floor of the imposing Swabian Castle of Bari, at present the seat of the Soprintendenza per i Beni AAAS della Puglia. It exhibits a collection of plaster casts of sculptures belonging to some of the most remarkable apulian religious and civilian monuments (XIth-XVIIth centuries). The reproductions, belonging to Bari Provincial Administration, were carried out for the exhibitions in Turin of 1899, in Paris in 1900 and for the Regions Exhibitions that took place in Rome in 1911, to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Italian Unification.
