Mondo Bizzarro Gallery

Mondo Bizzarro came out in 1995 from Alex Papa's odd idea to establish in his town (Bologna), a bookshop about cool art, erotic photography, underground comics and cult movies. In 1998 Mondo Bizzarro became also publishing house (Mondo Bizzarro Press) and some amazing books of deviant art were given to the light.
Thanks to the lucky meeting with Gloria Bazzocchi in 1999, the decision to set up the homonymous art gallery by the bookshop was taken. The gallery opened on December 2000 in a new big space next to the bookshop. The Mondo Bizzarro Gallery exhibited a number of celebrated, controversial, and sometime young unknown artists. The exhibitions rotate approximately every four weeks with a new opening the first saturday of the month.

An inventory of gallery's favourite artists is on hand at all times. Original artworks and limited edition prints can be purchased in person and online.
Mondo Bizzarro Gallery, which still includes the bookshop and publishing house today, moved to Rome in September 2004 in a perfect new location, next to the Museum of Contemporary Art (MACRO).
