Day 2 - Bari - lecce
Upon arrival at Bari (BRI ), transfer to Lecce and check into your hotel. This evening,
gather for a welcome drink and dinner.(D)

Day 3 - Otranto & lecce
Today we explore Oranto and marvel at the exquisite floor mosaic inside Otranto’s Cathedral. Return to Lecce in the afternoon and visit a private workshop to observe artisans at work on wonderful papier-mâché figures. (B)

Day 4 - Lecce & martina franca
Following a lecture on baroque architecture, take a walking tour of Lecce’s central area. En route, stop at the Antinori Masseria Maime wine estate in the Salento region. Apulia produces more grapes than any other region. Antinori has been producing excellent reds such as Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera, and Primitivo since 1998. Enjoy a tour of the new estate followed by a wine tasting and lunch. This afternoon, arrive at your resort. Enjoy your surroundings before gathering for dinner in the hotel.(B L D)

Day 5 - Castel del monte & trani
Travel north to admire the geometric harmony and majestic octagonal plan of the Castel del Monte. After our tour, drive to the delightful port town of Trani and enjoy lunch in a typical trattoria. Discover the Cathedral of Trani, the pearl of Apulia during this afternoon’s walking tour. Return to your resort, where you can enjoy an olive oil tasting prior to dinner. (B L D)

Day 6 - Locorotondo, alberobello, & ostuni
Visit a mozzarella factory in Locorotondo. Later, discover the curiously shaped trulli houses, a vernacular architecture seen only in Apulia. In this fairy-tale city hundredsof these delightful dwellings clustered together form a World Heritage site. Return
to the hotel for an afternoon to relax. Enjoy the pool and spa facilities or take a bikeride through the olive groves towards the beach. Tonight, we have a dinner of local specialties in a restored farmhouse. (B D)

Day 7 - Altarmura & bari
Visit a family-run bakery in Altamura, which produces a unique blend of bread, turning it into delicious focaccie and pizze. This afternoon, explore the seaport of Bari.This evening, dine in the hotel’s restaurant.(B D)

Day 8 - Egnazia & polignano a mare
Go inside the walls of the ancient city of Egnazia to view the treasures unearthed by archaeologists. Stop in enchanting Polignano, before returning to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure. Gather this evening for a farewell dinner at a local farmstead. (B D)

Day 9 - Italy - usa
Depart Bari (BRI ) for the USA on individual flights. (B)
