Day 3 Malta: Valletta, Mdina & Marsaxlokk
A full day tour with visits to the Upper Barakka Gardens, St. John’s Cathedral, and Valletta’s Grand Masters Palace. We explore the fishing village of Marsaxlokk, an ideal stop for lunch. This afternoon we visit the Hagar Qim Temple site. And do a walking tour of Mdina. (BB)

Day 4  Sicily: Catania & Taormina
Free day for shopping or an optional excursion to Gozo Island. Tonight, transfer to the airport and independent departure to reach Catania airport (CTA ). In Sicily you are met and transferred to your hotel in Taormina. (BB)

Day 5 Monday - Sicily: Taormina
Today, explore and enjoy the beautiful seaside town of Taormina. (BB)

Day 6 Tuesday - Sicily: Catania & Syracuse
Departure to Catania, in the shadow of Mount Etna. Here we visit the old city. Later a drive to Syracuse. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. This afternoon, we visit the Archaeological Park and the Roman Amphitheatre. Return to Taormina (BB L)

Day 7 Wednesday - Sicily: Jeep Ride To Mount Etna
A short drive by jeep takes us to the slopes of Mt. Etna to see the lava fields and volcano. We visit the Cave of Thieves and Mount Fontana. Next enjoy local Etna specialties in our light lunch. Later, a stop at the entrance of Alcantara Gorges. Return to Taormina. (BB L)

Day 8 Taormina - Catania
Transfer to Catania Airport (CTA ) for your return flight. (BB)
