Tour Itinerary
DAY 1:
Arrive at the tranquil and luxurious Villa le Terme, perfectly set in the rolling Chianti hills and surrounded by a private vineyard. You are greeted by your local host who assists you in settling in to your home for the next week. There's plenty of space to relax and unwind. Take a dip in the infinity pool while admiring the delightful scenery; then rejuvenate in the sauna, steam room or Jacuzzi. As evening approaches, gather around the outside bar to toast the sunset before you sit down to enjoy a light supper of Tuscan specialties.
DAY 2:
Your local host arrives this morning with a delectable breakfast basket and plenty of suggestions for activities in your new village "home." This afternoon, your private chef gathers the family in the kitchen for a hands-on pizza making lesson, using the villa's wood-burning pizza oven.
DAY 3:
In San Gimignano, join your guide for a breathtaking cycling tour through Tuscany and its quaint old towns.
DAY 4:
Meet your local guide in Florence for a children's tour of Palazzo Vecchio and its secret passages. Visit the Quartieri Monumentali (Monumental Apartments) and the Theatre of the Museum Renaissance Civilization in Florence. After lunch, satisfy your sweet tooth when you attend a private chocolate tasting and chocolate making demonstration.
DAY 5:
Stroll through the beautiful walled city of Siena with your guide, who shows you the Piazza del Campo, Palazzo Pubblico and the Duomo. Stop for a cool treat with a visit to a gelateria for a tasting and behind-the-scenes glimpse of gelato production.
DAY 6:
The countryside around San Gimignano is filled with rolling hills and vineyards. Go on a guided hike, pausing for a picnic lunch. Later, an artist comes to your villa to give you a private watercolor lesson on the use of color, drawing and composition.
DAY 7:
Drive through southern Tuscany to Pienza, where you sample some local cheeses and wines. Then learn the art of cheese making when you visit a Tuscan farmhouse for lunch. Continue to Montepulciano, a Tuscan hilltop town, and Montalcino, an important archaeological center.
DAY 8:
Your local host arrives this morning to assist you with your departure from the villa before you continue to the airport for your homebound flight.
