 Down in the gulf of Taranto on the Ionian Sea, Metaponto cultivates its inimitable lifestyle in a dreamlike setting. With their backs to a pretty pine grove, the bungalows with their tiled roofs were designed to resemble typical Italian homes In this 45 hectare park, the little train marks its comings and goings with joyful blasts of its whistle. Some visitors take the train to cross the pine wood which separates their rooms from the white sand beach, while others ride it back to the bustling swimming pool with its ancient columns. This is a place where families can sample the pleasures of being at complete liberty to do what they wish.
Metaponto Accommodations
The Club Med Village of Metaponto has 441 rooms all located in bungalows, of one or two floors, without lift. All bungalows have a small balcony and are facing gardens or a pine forest which lines the beach.

Spacious, comfortable bungalows are situated throughout the Village at ground or first floor level.

The Terrazza •
Located in the heart of the Village, this restaurant welcomes young and old alike for its international cuisine buffets. Our kitchen staff also proposes a selection of regional specialities. Enjoy the mild climate on one of the numerous terraces. There is a baby corner where parents can prepare meals for their little ones.The restaurant terrace and one indoor area are smoking areas.

- Mornings: 7.30 am to 10 am
- Lunchtime: 12 pm to 2 pm
- Evenings: 7 pm to 9 pm
The Vecchia Lucania •
For evening meals only, this restaurant offers a selection of regional and Italian dishes.
Open in the evening from 7.45 pm to 9.45 pm.
Metaponto Bars
Full open bar with premum alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages* and gourmet cuisine throughout the day. Enjoy a glass of wine during a meal or a refreshing cocktail by the pool. Whatever your pleasure, quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included*.

Main bar •
Located in the heart of the Village, overhanging the Village and the swimming pool, this bars large terrace welcomes you throughout the day. A snack service is also available.

As soon as the nightclub opens its doors, this bar welcomes you and invites you to discover its cocktail menu.
This is a non-smoking area.

Club Med Champions' Academy®

Club Med Champions' Academy® offers children 3-day courses. Your children will discover through play and various situations the technical foundations of various activities selected. Following a period of training, they will participate in games and exercises which will help them assimilate what they have learnt. In Metaponto, the Club Med Champions' Academy® offers: - Karate (from the age of 6) - Sailing (from the age of 8)
Club Med Tennis Academy
Included in your package
Teaching in our Academy is delivered by Serge Autexier, physical and technical assistant to high level players, and Thierry Champion, international coach and former Davis Cup player. Their courses, based on the five principles of biomechanics (structure, muscular synergy, balance, rhythm and time), offer unique potential for progression. At Metaponto, training at the Club Med Tennis Academy has been designed to satisfy the most demanding visitor.
