It is located 5 km from Verona, immersed in the vineyards of Valpolicella within an enormous estate bordered by an antique stone wall and an ancient road dating back to the Roman era, with its very own vineyards from which Villa del Quar SATYRUS Reserve Wine is produced. A large park encircles the villa with palms arranged around a huge cloverleaf shaped swimming pool, with Lebanese cedars and fruit trees.  In this elegant dwelling time seems to have stopped at end of the year 1700 with furnishings and colours that recall the styles of the empire. The furnishing is antique, original, neo-classical, the prints and the engravings are English and Italian, the paintings are Italian and French, the lamps and chandeliers are typically Venetian and of Murano crystal.A journey back into history and into art, under the care of Leopoldo Montresor, an expert traveller and great-grandson of the famous writer Emilio Salgari who in his novels of adventure described the magical and enchanted Orient without ever having been there. Every detail of Villa del Quar has been given meticulously thought, every element is essential and consistent with the sophisticated setting. The tables of the restaurant, the chairs, the tablecloths are also neo-classical in style, and the large place mats are decorated with roses taken from designs of the Maison Male. The Tea Room with library, wine cellar, outdoor swimming pool, gazebo with bar, meeting room, gym, massage room and sauna, complete the facilities. It is worth while giving well deserved praise to one of the masterpieces of Villa del Quar. The Swimming Pool Suite is one of the proud features of the noble patrician villa and represents a harmony of taste and refinement. Situated in the main structure over the Tea Room, this prestigious suite has large windows with vistas over the outdoor swimming pool, the park of the villa and its vineyards. It is composed of a living room, bedroom and two bathrooms whose mirrors are framed in blue Lapis lazuli mosaics in a similar design to that of the swimming pool. The elegant and valuable doors are authentic Luigi XVI, the walls are adorned with charming, delicate lamps of "Cà Rezzonico" Murano crystal. In the bedroom the bed is a king sized four-poster with gilded headboard originating from the Luigi XV era. The room also contains a Luigi XVI Veronese bureau. The two bathrooms are in Green Ming Marble that echoes the colour of the lawns; the drapes are of precious fabrics in floral motifs. Another suite is equipped with a private elevator, furnished with floral fabrics and Empire Style furniture; another has a double garden and is furnished with authentic Luigi XIV furniture. Arranged in two rooms, the first called Trésor, with a carved wooden ceiling, is the more intimate with 6 round tables. Pale tablecloths in a material particularly pleasing to the touch. The chairs are in the Directoire style; on the walls antique German and Italian prints. Precious touches are provided by the altar panels from an 18th century church and by the late 19th century English reproduction cabinet, once a bookcase and which now contains the restaurant’s collection of distillates (Whisky, Calvados, Armagnac). The second room, called Eurosia, with seven round tables, was once a small Church and has a vaulted ceiling. It is lit by a great central chandelier in Murano crystal. Here the colour blue predominates in the drapes and the 4 Venetian torches. A church portal with blue arabesque designs serves as a frame for a mirror. The restaurant is very beautiful outside in the summer, with views over the garden and surrounding hills covered with cherry trees, vineyards and cypresses.
