Villa d'Este totals 152 rooms.
The main house built in 1568 and known as the Cardinal's building counts 125 rooms while the trompe l'oeil masterpiece known as the Queen's Pavilion, inaugurated in 1860 has 27 rooms. In 1873 the two Villas combined into one property became Villa d'Este. Every air conditioned room is different both in size and décor. Period furniture. Oil paintings. Como silk covers sofas and chairs. Drapes are silk brocade. Linen sheets. Walk-in closets Some rooms have balconies or terraces.

All rooms have been completely renovated and there are no two alike.

Suites (5)
Two separate rooms, one for sleeping and the other a full-sized living room. In the main building the majority overlook the lake terrace with a view of the opposite shore. In the Queen's Pavilion the view includes the pools and looks toward the town of Como.
 Cardinal Suite (1)
The most spectacular suite at Villa d’Este, fit for royalty. The Cardinal Suite is located in the original Cardinal Building, on the first floor. It is truly a home away from home, complete with living quarters and separate sleeping quarters. The suite features a private terrace overlooking Lake Como which is the perfect place to sunbathe, have lunch or simply enjoy a favourite book. It is equipped with all of the expected amenities: International Direct Dial Telephone, Pay per View Movies, High Speed Internet, Minibar, safety deposit box and it has two plasma TVs (in the living room and in the bedroom).
Presidential Suites (2)
Located on the first floor in the Cardinal Building, these suites flank the Cardinal Suite. Both have fabulous views of Lake Como and Villa d’Este’s magnificent gardens. These suites also have living quarters and separate sleeping quarters and are equipped with International Direct Dial Telephone, Pay per View Movies, High Speed Internet, Minibar, safety deposit box and two plasma TVs (in the living room and in the bedroom).

The Veranda
Overlooks the Lake and the gardens. It is formal and elegant (jacket and ties required in the evening). Glassed-in, windows
electrically controlled disappear into the ground.
In the Summer tables are also set up on the terrace.
The menu is traditional Italian haute cuisine. Excellent wine list.
Breakfast: 7,00 am to 10,30 am. Lunch: 12,15 pm to 2,15 pm. Dinner: 7,30 pm to 9,45 pm.
The Grill
Is informal but the ambience is cozy and chic. The menu lists an interesting variety of regional dishes with a choice of the
best Italian wines. In the Summer, meals are served in the garden under the century-old plane trees.
From 7,30 pm to midnight. Closed on Monday.
Non Solo Pasta
The atmosphere is informal and it’s particularly suitable for families.
The Chef prepares every evening a selection of pasta dishes as well as a delicious buffet.
The Restaurant is open for dinner only, from 7.00pm till 10.30pm and it’s closed on Sundays.
Sundeck
Overlooking the sundeck and the floating swimming pool, the bar is open from 12,00 pm to 6,00 pm. Light lunches and snacks,
salads, sandwiches and a pasta dish of the day.
Bar Canova
Open all day. Drinks and light snacks available.
Pianist from 7,30 pm to 8,45 pm and again from 12,00 pm to 2,30 pm.
Terrace Bar
On the lake front. Drinks and snacks served under the chestnut trees in the midst of the jasmine scent.
Disco and Night Club
Open on Friday and Saturday from 10,00 pm to 1,00 am. During the summer months, weather permitting, the band will play on the
lake front terrace under the stars. Jacket is required.

 Golf Club Villa d'Este
A beautiful 18-hole park land course designed by Peter Gannon which winds its way through chestnut, ash and pine trees sheltering golfers even from the intense August heat. Villa d'Este is considered one of the most challenging and difficult par 69's in Europe, even though it is the site of several amateur competitions each year. The club house overlooks several holes and a spacious view of the Montorfano lake.
