The Grand Hotel et de Milan is a historical hotel founded in 1863; the hotel was reopened in 1993 after undergoing a 2 year total refurbishment. This is the most antique and traditional hotel of Milan. House of famous personalities: Maria Callas, Rudolf Nureyev, Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Enrico Caruso, Tamara de Lempicka and the famous opera composer Guiseppe Verdi who lived here the last 30 years of his life. Nowadays it welcomes personalities of the world of Art, and Culture, Fashion, Business and Heads of State. Located in the heart of Milan, facing the prestigious Via Montenapoleone, which is famous for its shopping, 3 minutes walk from the Opera House "La Scala" the Duomo Cathedral, the business district, and within walking distance to all major points of interest. The hotel has 87 rooms and 8 suites, some of them dedicated to the personalities that have lived here. Each room is individually designed and decorated with Italian fine fabrics, original antique furnishing, parquet floors, state-of-the-art technology and spacious bathrooms finished in marble.
