La Ginestra is a fine and richly decorated 18th Century villa, set amongst the hills near Lucca. This villa oozes history and has aristocratic features, including an Italian style garden and a large manicured lawned area. This provides a lovely backdrop to the temptingly refreshing swimming pool (14m x 7m), surrounded by deck chairs, loungers and a barbecue area. As part of a private working wine estate, the views of vineyards, olive groves and workers cottages are pleasing on the eye. The villa has been carefully restored to create a mix of contemporary comfort and classic features, including exquisite period furnishings, lovely beamed ceilings and terracotta floors throughout with air-conditioning in every bedroom. There is also a small chapel located just outside the property where Mass services are held every Sunday morning.
