Set in the midst of a sixty acres noble estate, surrounded by private vineyards, olive groves and a centuries-old park filled with beautiful flower borders and rare plants, is Villa Etrusca, a recently restored, 17th-century stone farmhouse. Tastefully decorated interiors are highlighted by antique furnishings and a respect for the original architecture, providing a simple but refined atmosphere that is perfect for a large group of friends or families.

Just up the road is Cortona, most recently celebrated by Frances Mayes in her book, Under the Tuscan Sun . It's a delightful town full of art, museums, winding cobblestone streets and Etruscan archeological heritage. Within an hour's drive, you can visit Arrezzo, Florence, Siena or the famous super-Tuscan wine villages around Montepulciano and Montalcino. The border with Umbria is close by too, allowing the option of day trips to Perugia, Assisi or even Todi. On other days, you might simply walk to the small neighboring village to enjoy a café, have lunch in the local trattoria and truly experience the relaxed way of life on a Tuscan villa.

Sleeps up to 14 adults & 2 children in 8 bedrooms (including cottage). Main house: top floor with Bedroom 1 (canopy Twins, 39" each) with en suite bathroom (tub/shower), Bedroom 2 (Queen, 63") with en suite bathroom (shower), and Bedroom 3 (Queen, 63") with en suite bathroom (jacuzzi/shower). Extra bathroom (shower). Ground floor, Bedroom 4 (canopy Queen, 63") with private bathroom in hall (tub w/ handheld shower), Bedroom 5 (Queen, 63") with private bathroom in hall (shower only), and small Bedroom 6 (Twins, 36") with private bathroom down hallway (shower). All bathrooms have toilets, bidets and hairdryers.
Cottage: Bedroom 7 (Queen, 63") and Bedroom 8 on mezzanine for children (Twins, 35") share a bathroom (tub/shower).

NB: Main house configuration (6 bedrooms) available without the Cottage in low- and mid-seasons only.

Main house: double living/sitting room with fireplace on upper floor & smaller cozy sitting room; family room with fireplace adjoins open kitchen/ dining room on ground floor. Cottage has separate living room & small breakfast nook.

Local station for easy train access to Rome or Florence.

Excellent walking & easy cycling in surrounding flats with many options for challenging, hilly riding.
