Magnificently set on the flanks of a mountain and meticulously restored, this 16th Century residence, formerly owned by the Prince of Milan has huge rooms with flagstone and terracotta floors and ceiling tiles lovingly crafted by local artisans. The spacious rooms are simply furnished and retain their character. Each en suite bathroom features a Victorian roll-top bath and shower and the ground floor benefits from under floor heating. Terraces and lawns surround the building, with a giant outdoor chess set in the grounds. Croquet as well as two sets of golf clubs and tennis racquets are provided. The main terrace, overlooks the fenced 15m x 7m swimming pool which has an outdoor shower, pool volleyball and a pergola for shade. An ancient stone loggia to one side of the house for outdoor dining features a large catering barbecue. Please note that there is an ancient animal shelter in the grounds, so children would need to be supervised.
