In order to respond to a strong demandfrom its faithful clients, Archipels Croisières has set up a one-week cruise to take them right into the Tuamotus aboard one of its " Marquises 57 " catamarans from September 2003 onward. Archipels is very familiar with these atolls and therefore able to propose an ideal, carefully planned tour.
- Frequency: Monthly cruise based on enclosed schedule.
- 3 atolls visited: Fakarava, Toau and Rangiroa.
- Cruise dates scheduled on basis of full moon: Most of the time in rising moon periods, with full moon occurring toward the end of the cruise. Enough to keep everlasting memories of two nights of navigation under sail between atolls.
- Comfortable deep-sea navigation, sailing along prevailing winds.
- Opportunity of scuba diving on three to four occasions with diving clubs in Fakarava and Rangiroa.
- Wide range of activities offered: Snorkel diving, all kinds of fishing, kayak rides - Introduction to the ecosystem of atolls - lunch with islanders - etc.
- As all our cruises we guarantee departure with minimum two passengers.

Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Fakarava - Early morning welcome of passengers at the airport. Boarding, settling aboard and sailing. Short ride in the lagoon, discovery of the northern pass then lunch/bathing at mooring location. Visit to a pearl farm in the afternoon.
Day 2 : Morning - Leisurely discovery of the charming village of Rotoava - Opportunity to do a "northern pass" diving with the local diving club. Afternoon - 3 hours sailing across the atoll.
Day 3 : South Fakarava - A Robinson Crusoe day - Excursion to discover the reef flat, fauna et flora - Barbecue picnic lunch on a desert motu - Various water-based recreational activities. Opportunity for one or two diving sessions with the diving club at Tetamanu Village. "Sunset - big show" cocktail at the Tetamanu Pass - Dinner - Departure at around 09.00 pm for a night of sailing to Toau (60 miles nautiques)
Day 4 : Toau - A day dedicated to the discovery of that unspoilt atoll abounding in fish - "Paumotu style" lunch with islanders - Then late afternoon sailing for a night of navigation to Rangiroa (120 nautical miles).
Day 5 : Rangiroa - Arrival in the morning - Visit to the picturesque village of Tiputa - Morning dedicated to water-based activities: accompanied snorkel diving down the pass - same type of diving at the aquarium - Opportunity for " scuba " diving with a diving club - After lunch, sailing inside the atoll up to the Pink Sands location. Barbecue dinner on board.
Day 6 : Pink Sands Area: A Robinson Crusoe day - Picnic lunch on a motu - Underwater exploration - Water-based recreational activities.
Day 7 : After breakfast, sailing back to base, including a stop at the birds island. Light lunch and disembarking at 01.00 pm or so then transfer to Rangiroa airport.
