NEW CRUISE. Take a stunning Summer cruise around the beautiful Shetland and Orkney Isles with days filled with wonderful guided walks and visits. Provision is made for those who prefer a less active itinerary, with additional tours and trips to local attractions.

Day 2 Kirkwall on Mainland Orkney

After a morning cruise of the Pentland Firth go ashore at Kirkwall for wonderful walks and a visit to St Magnus’ Cathedral or a coach tour of the island. Walks on Mainland Orkney or a tour to Churchill Barriers and the Italian Chapel. Captain’s Welcome Gala Dinner in the evening.

Day 3 Fair Isle

Cruise northeast to Fair Isle, lying remotely between Orkney and Shetland, for magnificent walks and a visit to the bird reserve.

Day 4 Fetlar or Unst

Enjoy a day of spectacular walking on either Fetlar or Unst, depending on weather conditions, or an island tour of Unst with views of Muckle Flugga.

Day 5 Lerwick on Shetland Mainland

Walkers can enjoy the Shetland Mainland or others can visit Scalloway, Shetland’s capital, and take a trip to Shetland Museum and Archives.

Day 6 Stronsay

Hebridean Princess spends the morning cruising from Shetland to Northern Orkney. In the afternoon on Stronsay see the Vat of Kirbister, an impressive natural cliff archway.

Day 7 Westray

Walks on Westray or a visit to Noup Head Lighthouse and Bird Reserve. In the afternoon, Hebridean Princess will cruise the west coast of Orkney passing the ‘Old Man of Hoy’ and berth overnight in Scrabster. Farewell Gala Dinner in the evening.

Day 8 Scrabster

Disembarkation in Scrabster.
