Itinerary
Day 1 - Hamburg, Germany
Depart from your US gateway for an optional overnight flight to Hamburg.
Day 2 - Hamburg
Welcome to Hamburg. Transfer (optional) on arrival to the MV Dresden, which awaits your arrival at the pier. Explore the inner and outer Alster until departure.
Day 3 - Tangermunde
Cruise into this old Hanseatic town and explore on your own. The town’s ornate doorways and unique woodwork on its public buildings add to the sense of history and atmosphere.
Day 4 - Magdeburg
Awake in Magdeburg, a city of striking architectural contrasts. An included morning sightseeing tour will introduce you to the Old Market, Baroque city hall, and the Cathedral of Magdeburg. Spend the afternoon taking in the beautiful scenery as the ship cruises toward Wittenberg.

Day 5 - Wittenberg and Torgau
Wittenburg, made famous as the hometown of Protestant Reformer Martin Luther, is the focus of your tour today. Your excursion includes a visit to Lutherhouse, where you can view more than 1,000 exhibits highlighting Luther’s life and works. You’ll also visit the historic market square and city hall. This afternoon relax on-board as you sail to Torgau.

Day 6 - Meissen and Dresden
Meissen has long been associated with the porcelain known affectionately as “White Gold.” It has been produced here for over three centuries. Enjoy a morning guided walking tour of the factory and the Castle Albrechtsburg before continuing to Meissen Cathedral and the marketplace square. This afternoon, arrive in Dresden.

Day 7 - Dresden and Pillnitz Palace
Enjoy more of Dresden this morning with an included excursion. A coach tour will offer stunning views of the Elbe castles of Eckberg, Lingner and Albrechtsberg. Afterward you’ll explore the enchanting old town on a guided walk, stopping at the Semper Opera House, Royal Mews and Zwinger Palace. This afternoon, continue with an excursion to the Pillnitz Park Castle complex, consisting of the Water Palace, Mountain Palace and the New Palace.

Day 8 - Bad Schandau and Decin, Czech Republic
Bad Schandau is our jumping off point for a visit to Prague, the beautiful “City of One-Hundred Spires,” where you will join a full day excursion to the old town of Prague, Charles Bridge, St. Vitus Cathedral and Wenceslas Square.

Day 9- Prague, Czech Republic
Disembark in Dresden and meet your driver for the scenic transfer to Prague. Your hotel is the Hotel Intercontinental. Enjoy the afternoon and evening on your own.

Day 10 - Prague and Passau, Germany
From your hotel transfer to Passau to embark MV Mozart.
Day 11 - Dürnstein
Austria and Vienna Romantic Dürnstein, located in Austria’s famous Wachau wine region, is your first excursion point from the MV Mozart. Enjoy an included walking tour of the town and 14th century convent church.

Day 12 - Vienna
Step back in time to the height of the Imperial Hapsburg Empire, where the sounds of Mozart wafts through the streets and Baroque monuments stand watch over this fascinating city. Enjoy the prominent sights with an included half-day city tour, and afterward, you might like to relax and enjoy a Viennese coffee or one of Vienna’s specialty pastries.

Day 13 - Esztergom and Budapest, Hungary
This morning dock in Esztergom, where you join the ship’s tour through the picturesque landscapes of the Danube Bend. This afternoon we arrive in the charming city of Budapest.

Depart on the ship’s morning tour, which will introduce the sights of this remarkable city including Hero’s Square and the
Parliament in Pest, and St. Mathias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion in Buda.

Day 15 - Bratislava, Slovakia
At the foot of the Carpathian Mountains lies Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Enjoy a morning tour of the old town, left largely untouched by modern culture, and a visit to the Goblin Collection, a unique representation of 17th century European artworks.

Day 16 - Melk, Austria and Grein
Arrive Melk, located in the most recognized part of the Danube, the Wachau Valley. Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour through the town famous for its Benedictine Abbey. Extensive visits of the Monastery and the Collegiate Church are the highlights of your excursion.

Day 17 - Passau, Germany to USA
Disembark the ship in Passau and transfer (optional) to the Munich airport for your optional return flight to the US.
