Itinerary
Day 1 - USA–Hamburg, Germany
Depart from your US gateway city for an optional overnight flight to Hamburg.
Day 2 - Hamburg
Arrive Hamburg and transfer (optional) to the MV Dresden for embarkation, or transfer from your Discovery Add-On city.
Day 3 - Tangermunde
Cruise into this old Hanseatic town and explore on your own. The town’s ornate doorways and unique woodwork on its public buildings add to the sense of history and atmosphere.
Day 4 -Magdeburg
Awake in Magdeburg this morning and enjoy a city tour, highlighting the harmonious blending of the city’s old and new architecture including the Old Market, Baroque city hall, and the Cathedral of Magdeburg. Spend the afternoon taking in the beautiful scenery as the ship cruises toward Wittenberg.

Day 5 - Wittenberg
This morning you arrive in Wittenberg, where your guided tour of the town will follow “in the footsteps of Martin Luther,” the Protestant reformer who began the Reformation in the early 1500s. Your excursion includes a visit to Lutherhouse, where you can view more than 1,000 exhibits highlighting Luther’s life and works. You’ll also visit market square and the historical city hall before returning to the ship.

Day 6 - Meissen–Dresden
Meissen porcelain, long prized by kings and collectors, and known as “white gold,” has been produced for nearly 3 centuries in the charming town of Meissen. This morning your included excursion takes you on an extensive tour through the porcelain factory, followed by a visit to the Gothic cathedral and Albrecht Castle.

Day 7- Dresden–Kleinzschachwitz
Dresden, the capital of Saxony, is often referred to as the“Florence on the Elbe.” This morning depart on a panoramic city tour that visits the Great Garden, the old town section and Zwinger Palace. This afternoon enjoy an excursion to the Pillnitz Park Castle complex. A guided walk takes us through the pleasure grounds, a gorgeous ornamental park of 19th century design.

Day 8 - Bad Schandau, and Decin (Prague), Czech Republic
Bad Schandau is our stopping point for a visit to Prague, the beautiful “City of One-Hundred Spires.” Join full day excursion to the old town of Prague, Charles Bridge, St. Vitus Cathedral and Wenceslas Square or relax on-board and take in the beautiful scenery as we sail to Dresden.

Day 9 -Dresden, Germany
Disembark in Dresden and transfer (optional) to the airport for your flight home, or, transfer to your Discovery Add-On city.
