Itinerary
Day 1 - USA–Munich, Germany Depart from your US gateway city for an optional overnight flight to Munich.
Day 2 - Munich (Passau), Germany Arrive Munich, the capital of Bavaria. Transfer (optional) from the airport to the uniquely situated town of Passau, lying at the confluenceof the Danube, Inn and Ilz Rivers, or transfer to Passau from your Discovery Add-On city. After embarkation you’re free to enjoy the old town on your own.
Day 3 - Dürnstein, Austria–Vienna, Austria Wake up in romantic Dürnstein, a town located in the famous Wachau wine region. This morning, you’ll enjoy a guided walking tour through the old streets, past Burgher Homes from the 16th and 17th centuries, and through the remains of the Klarissin Convent, which paints a picture of life in the Middle Ages. Visit the Collegiate Church with its beautiful stucco relief decorations, altarpieces and impressively carved pulpit. Afterward, enjoy some free time strolling the streets of this cobblestone town before departing for Vienna, where you’ll overnight.

Day 4 -Vienna, Austria–Esztergom, Hungary Step back in time to the height of the Imperial Hapsburg Empire, where the sound of Mozart wafts through the streets and Baroque monuments stand watch over this fascinating city. Enjoy the prominent sights with an included half-day city tour, and afterward take time to relax and enjoy a Viennese coffee or one of Vienna’s specialty pastries. • Vienna City Tour included
Day 5 -Esztergom–Budapest, Hungary This morning we dock in Esztergom, where you will join the ship’s tour through the picturesque Hungarian landscape of the Danube Bend. This afternoon we arrive in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe—Budapest. With its wide boulevards, gently flowing Danube River, and charming Baroque style buildings, Budapest exudes a sense of style and charm. After our late afternoon arrival, you’re free to explore the city on your own.

Day 6 -Budapest, Hungary Discover Budapest this morning. Enjoy the sights of this remarkable city, including Hero’s Square, the Parliament in Pest, St. Mathias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion in Buda.

Day 7- Bratislava, Slovakia At the foot of the Carpathian Mountains and on the banks of the Danube River lies Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Enjoy a morning tour of the old town, left largely untouched by modern culture, and a visit to the Goblin Collection, a unique representation of 17th century European artworks.

Day 8 -Melk, Austria In the Wachau Valley, famous for its wines, you will find the Baroque town of Melk, perched high above the Danube River. This morning you’ll embark on a guided tour through the famous Benedictine Abbey. Extensive visits of the Monastery and the Collegiate Church are the highlights of your excursion.

Day 9 -Passau, Germany This morning you’ll disembark in Passau. Transfer (optional) to Munich airport for your flight home, or transfer to your Discovery Add-On city.
