Day 1
Meet in Amsterdam at Hotel de l'Europe and transfer to 'Marjorie II,' moored in Haarlem. After welcome apéritifs, there is time to relax on board or stroll through the historic center of the 900-year-old town before your first dinner on board.
Day 2
Visit Aalsmeer and its fascinating flower market where 17 million cut flowers are auctioned each day. Then, cruise to the lovely university town of Leiden to visit the American Pilgrim Museum. This beautifully preserved house tells of the pilgrims' formative years in Holland prior to setting off for America's New England.
Day 3
Today's stroll through the magnificently landscaped Keukenhof Gardens, with their 79 acres of colorful flowering plants and the largest sculpture garden in the Netherlands, is a Holland highlight. After lunch, cruise to Delft with its beautiful canals and arched bridges.
Day 4
Explore Delft today, the epitome of a quaint Dutch town with charming shops and picturesque canals. Learn how its world-famous pottery is produced on a tour of the local factory. Back on board the barge, cruise through the bustling port of Rotterdam en route to Antwerp.
Day 5
In Antwerp, there is time to visit the home of Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens and the recently restored Cathedral of Our Lady, which houses several of his altarpieces. Then, cruise along the River Schelde to Ghent.
Day 6
Cruise to medieval Bruges, a town once known as die Scone (the beautiful). This 13th-century gem is home to Europe's best preserved medieval buildings, including many Gothic churches - so much so that its historic center is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A final farewell dinner on board 'Marjorie II' brings this memorable cruise to an end.
Day 7
After breakfast, transfer to Hotel Die Swaene in Bruges, where your tour ends.
