Itinerary
MOSELLE RIVER
Day 1 :
Meet in Frankfurt and transfer to 'Charlemagne' for a welcome reception.
Day 2 :
Cruise to the riverside town of Cochem. Later, enjoy a tasting of regional wines.
Day 3 :
Charming villages punctuate the vineyards along today's cruise route, which includes a visit to the small town of Bernkastel-Kues.
Day 4 :
After a beautiful morning cruise, tour the ancient Roman city of Trier in the afternoon.
Day 5 :
Cruise to Remich in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg with an excursion to Nenning.
Day 6 :
Arrive in Metz today and visit its Cathedral of Saint-Etienne, renowned for its stained glass.
Day 7 :
After breakfast, return to the hotel in Frankfurt where your tour ends.
NECKAR & RHINE RIVERS
Day 1 :
Meet in Frankfurt and transfer to 'Charlemagne' in Bad Wimpfen for a welcome reception.
Day 2 :
Walk along the winding streets of Bad Wimpfen before a cruise to the pretty town of Eberbach.
Day 3 :
Visit the Michelstadt, then travel the romantic road of Odenwald and cruise to Heidelberg.
Day 4 :
After a guided tour of Heidelberg, cruise to Worms, an imperial city on the Rhine.
Day 5 :
Past the Roman city of Mainz, the river flows through famous vineyards to Rudesheim where the spirited Drosselgasse affords evening entertainments.
Day 6 :
Cruise past the mythical Rock Lorelei to Koblenz for a guided tour.
Day 7 :
After breakfast, return to the hotel in Frankfurt where your tour ends. Note: These routes are run in reverse on alternate weeks.
