In autumn, 'Saroche' ventures north into Burgundy to cruise the lovely Canal de Bourgogne. Relax in the spa pool or enjoy an al fresco meal. Every cruise is a gourmet experience with five-course dinner menus, complemented by selections from the extensive on-board wine cellar.
In 2010, 'Saroche' continues to cruise the most scenic waterways in France. She returns to the south, cruising between Sète and Beaucaire on departures from Apr 04 through Jul 11. Then, as summer ripens into autumn, she journeys north to cruise the famed Burgundy Canal from Aug 15 through Oct 31. Departures are on Sundays, and 2009 pricing applies to 2010 reservations - so book now to confirm your date of choice.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Meet at Sofitel Dijon La Cloche in Dijon and transfer to 'Saroche,' moored nearby. After a champagne reception, relax on board before a gourmet welcome dinner. 'Saroche' Barge D
Day 2
Leave Dijon to cruise to the traditional village of Fleurey, nestled in the picturesque valley of the River Ouche. You may choose to tour the Côte de Nuits vineyards, including a visit to the Château of Clos de Vougeot for a wine tasting. The 12th-century Château is the home of the exclusive gastronomic organization, the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, founded to promote the wines of Burgundy. 'Saroche' Barge B L D
Day 3
Return to cosmopolitan Dijon on market day to experience the colorful open and covered stalls. Visit the Fine Arts Museum in the former Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy - or simply stroll one of the town's many pedestrian thoroughfares. Continue cruising through the tranquil countryside of the Ouche Valley, passing Pont de Pany and Sainte-Marie-sur-Ouche en route to Gissey. Day 4
Cruise a delightful, tree-lined section of the canal today, past the picturesque village of Saint Victor to La Bussière sur Ouche. During the afternoon excursion to Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Then, visit both the splendid 15th-century Hôtel-Dieu, a charity hospital financed by local vineyard owners, and the cellars of Bouchard Père et Fils for a tasting of the local vintages. Day 5
Relax on board this morning while 'Saroche' cruises past serene valleys where Charolais cattle graze beside the Canal. Day 6
A final cruise on a winding stretch of the canal takes 'Saroche' past the hillside villages of Bouhey and Châteauneuf to Vandenesse-en-Auxois. Visit handsome Château de Commarin with its fine collection of 16th-century tapestries.
