Day 1.

Day 2. Cairns to Great Barrier Reef. Awaken this morning and enjoy one of the remote uninhabited islands of the Great Barrier Reef. While you are there enjoy either a swim or glass bottom boat trip. Later in the morning you will cruise onto historical Cooktown, it was here that Captain Cook took refuge during his voyage of discovery. Visit Cooktown’s historical museum featuring original artifacts recovered from Captain James Cook’s vessel. Cooktown is covered in history with most stone buildings dating back almost a century, so it’s a must to explore and enjoy what this town has to offer. BLD

Day 3. Cooktown to Ribbon Reef. Arrive at Lizard Island. Climb the island peak that Captain James Cook climbed back in 1770 and enjoy the spectacular views. Or if you wish, snorkel off the beach over coral gardens and discover giant clams and a profusion of fish. You may also want to enjoy a glass bottom boat trip with a Marine Biologist or a scuba dive with a Dive Instructor. Later in the day, you will cruise to Ribbon Reef No 9 where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the water activities they have to offer. BLD

Day 4. Ribbon Reef to Rachel Carlson Reef. Spend a full day at Ribbon Reef No 3 and Rachel Carlson Reef. Enjoy some of the best snorkelling and scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef has to offer. You have the option of taking yourself on a guided snorkelling tour or allow a Marine Biologist to show you the beauty of the reef aboard a glass bottom boat. This will be your last day to enjoy the reef through scuba so allow a Dive Instructor to provide you with a dive you’ll remember for a lifetime. BLD

Day 5. Rachel Carlson Reef to Cairns. Arrive at Cairns Trinity Wharf at 8:00am. B

Accommodation on board is comparable to most first class hotels. There is no limit to the luggage you may bring. There is a large sundeck with spa, a bar, lounge, TV room with video and a tropically appointed dining room with a fine selection of Australian wines. The shop on board carries some souvenirs and personal needs. All cabins are fitted with international power outlets for shavers, hair dryers, etc.
