Day 4 Bora Bora, Society Islands
Bora Bora's central peak rises from its green-shrouded mountainous interior and palm-fringed sandy beaches. Tiny white sand motus (islets) surround the lagoon, its waters home to a variety of pelagic fish, crustaceans and vibrant coral formations. Explore in an open-air vehicle or by four-wheel-drive. After lunch, go snorkeling or diving, meander along hibiscus-clad lanes, or relax on a palm-shaded beach. MV 'Clipper Odyssey'
Day 5 Mopelia, Society Islands Legend has it that Mopelia conceals the lost treasure of a World War I privateer known as the 'Sea Devil.' Although you may not find his secret cache, you are likely to discover the "Bird Island's" treasured birdlife, including red-footed booby, brown noddy, fair tern and the endangered blue lorikeet. Tour the island, visit the village and make an ecologically controlled stop at the bird colonies. MV 'Clipper Odyssey'
Day 6 Atiu, Cook Islands The residents of remote Atiu present a welcome dance presentation and feast. On an island tour, stop at a traditional limestone and coral marea (sacred site), a plantation and Captain Cook's 1744 landing site. Look out for the Atiu swiftlet, chattering kingfisher and Cook Island fruit dove. You may have an opportunity to go snorkeling or diving. MV 'Clipper Odyssey'
Day 7 Aitutaki, Cook Islands More then 200 years ago, Captain Bligh became the first European to visit Aitutaki, considered part atoll and part volcanic island. Tour the island and stop to snorkel at One-foot Island. Pause for a Polynesian barbecue on the beach at Motu Raku. Divers may explore the underwater world as well. MV 'Clipper Odyssey'
Day 8 Palmerston Island, Cook Islands Palmerston is inhabited almost exclusively by descendants of 19th-century settler William Marsters. According to local custom, there can be no strangers on the island, so all visitors are dubbed honorary family members. Palmerston is so isolated that 'Clipper Odyssey' guests are about the only visitors to the island. You may go diving or snorkeling while visiting. MV 'Clipper Odyssey'
Day 9 At sea Listen to an informative and educational lecture as the ship sails through the islands and atolls of the Tuamotu Ridge. Be on deck to spot seabirds and marine life. MV 'Clipper Odyssey'
Day 10 Niue Island, Niue One of the world's smallest countries, Niue is an uplifted atoll with some of the finest limestone cliffs, crevices and chasms in the Pacific. Visit Avaiki and Palaha Caves, Limu Reef and the series of stone arches in Matapa Chasm. (Note: One day is lost crossing the International Dateline this evening.) MV 'Clipper Odyssey'
Day 11 Neiafu and Nuku Islands, Vava'u Group, Kingdom of Tonga A slow-paced, relaxed South Seas attitude typifies the island-studded Vava'u Group. 'Clipper Odyssey' winds through the dozens of tiny wooded islets that make up this picturesque group. Snorkel the clear waters, take Zodiac excursions to view sea-eroded caves and spend time in the village of Neiafu, renowned for its art of basketry. Divers may explore a nearby cave system or a pristine reef. MV 'Clipper Odyssey'
Day 12 Niuatoputapu, Kingdom of Tonga Known as "the island of the sacred coconuts," Niuatoputapu boasts some of the finest white sand beaches in the South Pacific. Enjoy snorkeling, swimming, diving and a visit to the small town of Falehau. MV 'Clipper Odyssey'
