We will stop en route at some of the sunniest islands in the world, spanning the British and French West Indies and the Netherland Antilles.

Day 4 - Tortola/Road Town, British Virgin Islands

Sail through the magical waters in which famous seamen such as Blackbeard and Francis Drake once sailed, then dock in Tortola, the largest of the British Virgin Islands. Travel on an open-air safari bus or an air-conditioned van and begin a coast to coast scenic drive through the capital Road Town, as a designated guide points out sights of interest and historical facts of the island. Further on the tour travel to Capoons Bay, and drive past the infamous Bomba’s Shack. From Capoons Bay head up into the mountains, then to Pusser’s Landing, a seaside village full of shops and boutiques.

Day 5 - St. Maarten/Philipsburg, Netherlands Antilles

Today, dock on an island which shares a mix of French charm and Dutch hospitality. St. Maarten is literally like two islands mixed into one and has something to offer to everyone. Discover St. Maarten on a delightfully Dutch, fantastically French island tour which the opportunity to get an overview of the best scenic views. Highlights during the tour will include Grande Case, the “Gourmet Capital” of the Caribbean as well as Cole Bay Lookout which has a spectacular view of the island. End the tour at the Village Plantation.

Day 6 - St. Barts/Gustavia, French West Indies

Explore St. Barths' capital Gustavia, and visit well-preserved colonial buildings. View prime examples of Swedish colonial architecture such as City Hall and the Clock Tower. Later visit the Musee Municipal which features old photographs and a watercolor collection by local artists.

Day 7 - Antigua/St. Johns, West Indies

Enjoy Antigua’s sunny climate and easy-going Caribbean ways during a comfortable scenic tour. Travel across the island, passing the pioneer villages of all saints, Liberta, and Falmouth, to Shirley Heights Lookout. Visit Nelson’s Dockyard which was built in 1725 and served as the base for the English navel squadron to patrol the West Indies before returning to the ship.

Day 8 - St. Lucia/Castries, West Indies

Cruise to an island of quaint bays, lush landscapes and hospitable residents. St. Lucia, although it has changed in ownership numerous times throughout history, is still a land full of rich life and culture. Explore the scenes of St Lucia and its colourful history during an excursion that stops at Caribelle Batik, tours a historic old sugar mill, and visits an old colonial house. Before heading back to the ship savour the view of the harbour below St. Marks.

Day 9 - Barbados/Bridgetown, West Indies

Explore a former British colony that is now one of the most stable independent Caribbean nations. On the exterior, Barbados offers sun-drenched beaches, clear blue-green waters and cool trade winds. Inland are lovingly preserved plantation houses, large sugar can fields, fragrant gardens, and exceptional deals on luxury imported goods. On a half day excursion visit the historical Sunbury Plantation House, take in the views for historic Gun Hill Signal Station, and stroll the luscious paths of Orchid World.

Day 11 Curacao/Willemstad, Netherlands Antilles

Be welcomed by an island unique among the Caribbean ports of call. Curaçao is both the largest and wealthiest island of the Netherlands Antilles, and offers a harmonious blend of Dutch, Caribbean, African and South American culture. Explore Curaçao’s volcanic west coast on a scenic drive that visits Boka Tabla natural arch, Westpoint Church, Knip Beach and the St. Willibrordus salt Flats, which is home to pink flamingos. In addition to the scenic drive, visit the Old Slave Hut, now a museum displaying art and artifacts from the islands slave days.

Day 12 Aruba/Oranjestad, Netherland Antilles

Tour an island with a year round dry and sunny climate that combines Dutch efficiency and Caribbean charm. Aruba is one of the most popular islands of the Caribbean, boasting with sophisticated resorts and casinos. Experience the best of Aruba’s natural wonders during a half day shore excursion touring Casibari Rock formations, the collapsed Natural and the Baby Natural Bridge and Frenchman’s Pass. Later Travel to the Aruba Aloe Factory and learn how aloe is grown, processed, and turned into skin care products.
