Let yourself be whisked away to the magnificent monuments of Luxor and the spectacular Karnak Temple complex.

Itinerary
DAY 1: Depart home gateway city to Cairo Featured Excursion: Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a Uniworld representative and transferred to the Cairo Marriott.

DAY 3: Cairo Featured Excursion: The Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the Egyptian Museum Irresistible Optional Tour: Onboard Highlights: Drive out to Memphis to admire the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx. Nearby at Sakkara, view the Step Pyramid of Zoser I. Dating from the 27th century BC, it is the oldest in the world. Then enjoy a guided tour of Giza, where you will see the enigmatic Sphinx and the magnificent pyramids. Visit the Egyptian Museum, an unrivaled warehouse of Pharaonic treasures. The museum exhibits over 120,000 objects, including the remarkable artifacts recovered by archeologist Howard Carter from the tomb of King Tutankhamen. (BB)
DAY 4: Fly to Luxor, cruising the Nile, Dendera Featured Excursion: Temple at Karnak Fly to Luxor in the morning, where you’ll explore the Temple of Karnak with its avenues of sphinxes and halls of gigantic columns. Later in the day you’ll board your luxury cruise ship, River Tosca, and set sail for Dendera. (BB, L, D)
DAY 5: Dendera, cruising the Nile, Luxor Featured Excursion: Dendera and Temple of Luxor In the morning, visit the Temple of Hathor in Dendera, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, which contains a rare depiction of Cleopatra and her son Caesarion. Later, return to Luxor and venture off to view the ancient Temple of Luxor. (BB, L, D)
DAY 6: Luxor, cruising the Nile, Kom Ombo Featured Excursion: Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon, and Galabeya party onboard Board your motorcoach and travel to the West Bank of the Nile to see the two gigantic statues known as the Colossi of Memnon. Next, take in the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Valley of the Kings, where many illustrious Pharaohs were buried. You’ll then return back to the ship, and as you sail for Kom Ombo, enjoy Galabeya party onboard. (BB, L, D)
DAY 7: Kom Ombo, cruising the Nile, Aswan Featured Excursion: Temple at Kom Ombo, the Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple, felucca ride, and Nubian show Visit the impressive double-temple in Kom Ombo, the only one of its kind dedicated to two gods. You’ll then go to the Aswan High Dam, where you will see the enormous Unfinished Obelisk. Then you will travel by motorboat to the Temple of Isis, which rises from the waters of the Nile on the Island of Philae. Later, return to Aswan to sail in a traditional Nile felucca around Aswan’s Botanical Gardens. On board the ship, enjoy a typical Nubian folkloric show with a live band playing Nubian music. DAY 8: Aswan, fly to Cairo Featured Excursion: Join us on our exciting optional excursion to the amazing Temples of Abu Simbel. Disembark from the River Tosca. Spend the morning at leisure in Aswan before flying to Cairo where you will stay at the Marriott Cairo. (BB)
DAY 9: Cairo, drive to Alexandria Featured Excursion: Alexandria, Wadi El Natroun monasteries, and traditional dinner Alexandria has often been referred to as “The Pearl of the Mediterranean,” as it has an atmosphere more Mediterranean than Middle Eastern. You’ll stop by Wadi El Natroun, the actual birthplace of Christian monasticism. In the evening you will be treated to a sumptuous traditional dinner before checking in to your hotel in Alexandria. DAY 10: Alexandria, drive to Cairo Featured Excursion: National Museum, Pompey’s Pillar, Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, Roman Theatre, and El-Mursi Abul-Abbas Mosque Tour the Alexandria National Museum, and visit historic Pompey’s Pillar. From there, delve deep inside the underground caves of the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa. Visit the Roman Theatre, and the 13th-century El-Mursi Abul-Abbas Mosque. After your visit, you’ll back to Cairo Marriott. (BB)
