Standard rooms are spacious, with combination baths and dressing areas. Marble floors and air-conditioning keep rooms cool. Furnishings include king or 2 double beds, wicker armchairs, and onyx tables. All rooms have TVs, and most have wrought iron balconies with views of the bay. Suites add more space, with master bedrooms, wrap-around balconies, and dining and living areas.

El Pescador is the hotel's signature seafood restaurant, which also serves specialty pizzas prepared in a wood-burning oven. Zapata is the place to go for traditional Mexican cooking accompanied by mariachi bands. A large breakfast buffet is presented in the main restaurant, La Ceiba, which features an outdoor dining section overlooking the pool. An impressive selection of tequilas draws a convivial crowd to the bar. Room service is available 24 hours.

Bathers will delight in 2 meandering pools and a waterfall set in tropical gardens, with footbridges traversing one pool, leading to a restaurant on an island. Some may prefer sunbathing on the wide beach where the surf is generally calm at this end of the bay. Guests have access to the golf and tennis facilities at Club de Golf Acapulco located 5 minutes from the hotel. For kids there's Camp Hyatt, which organizes games and activities for ages 4-12.

Visitors to the Alory Spa can look forward to a full body message, and they can choose from a varied menu of rejuvenating health and beauty treatments. Spa facilities include bio-analysis, an alpha jet, steam bath, Jacuzzi, and a sauna.
