Las Brisas Hotel Resort General Information
What to expect: Pink and white from buildings to Jeeps to table linens and towels, Las Brisas has been widely copied since it opened in 1957 as a tranquil, adults-only, prestigious retreat. Celebrities still come occasionally, along with couples seeking romance and privacy, but now the resort accepts children-although certain guest-accommodation sections are still reserved for adults.
Amenity highlights: Operating every 20 minutes, shuttles transport guests between the hillside resort and its private beach club on Acapulco Bay, a five-minute trip. The club includes no sand but features two expansive rock- and fieldstone-lined saltwater pools narrowly open to the bay, so they're continuously refreshed. Terraced above them is a large, freeform freshwater pool. Pools' sundecks feature palm trees, cushioned lounge chairs, umbrellas, and shade tents.
Insider tip: For a surcharge, the resort offers a weekly Jeep safari, a five-hour tour that includes a stop at a freshwater lagoon, a bird-watching boat trip around the lagoon, canoe races, buffet lunch, and live music.
