Three heated freeform pools and a swim-up-bar pool offer year-round swimming, with a fourth pool reserved for guests of Grand Club rooms. The main pool features an infinity edge and a toddlers' area. Adjacent bougainvillea arbors shade lounges and two-person hammocks. Two-person hammocks also flank an activities pool. The third pool is set into a cliffside. Four spa tubs are open 24 hours.

Three heated, freeform pools and a 23-meter-wide (75-ft) swim-up-bar pool flanked by cushioned teak lounges offer year-round swimming, with a fourth heated pool reserved for guests of Grand Club rooms. The main pool extends 39.5 meters (250 ft) and features an infinity edge on one end and a shallow toddlers' area on the other. A 33.5-meter (110-ft) pool offers sports and activities. Set into a cliffside, the third pool measures 45.75 meters (150 ft). Below this pool lies a secluded 12-person spa tub, which, like three other spa tubs near other pools, is open 24 hours.
Although it's ideal for strolling, sunbathing, and snoozing under thatched-roof palapas , the resort's 460-meter (1,500-ft) beach is not safe for swimming because of rocks and powerful undertows. Safe swimming and water sports are available at Médano Beach near downtown Cabo San Lucas 10.25 km (6.5 mi) away. Guests enjoy complimentary access to two lighted tennis courts in daytime, with a surcharge for after-dark play. Whale-watching excursions are available from Cabo San Lucas during the January-March migration of gray whales.
The Cabo del Sol development features a 40,000-square-foot clubhouse and two golf courses, Desert, designed by Tom Weiskopf, and Ocean, designed by Jack Nicklaus, with discounts and complimentary shuttle service for resort guests.
