What to Expect: The hotel mostly attracts couples seeking tranquility, except for holiday times when the resort fills with families. The main building's fountain courtyard typifies the hacienda style. Additional Mexican ambience is contributed by a broad, dry arroyo crossed by a paved path and planted with agave that leads to the beach.

Amenity Highlights: Four pools, including one for children, provide year-around swimming. The main complex adjacent to the beach features a two-level freeform pool with infinity edge and swim-up bar, a toddlers' pool, and a spa tub. Mezquite Grill
Tables set by bonfire on beach for casual family dinners Tuesday-Sunday. Candles, tiki torches. Grilled fish, lobster, shrimp, steaks, chicken. Salad and dessert bars.

Pool Bar
Thatched-roof palapa with swim-up side at main pool complex. Open late morning to early evening for sandwiches, salads, burgers, tacos, fish, nachos.

Maguey Bar
Air-conditioned lobby bar/lounge with terrace. Open for cocktails, tequilas, mescals, wine, from mid-afternoon to late night. Complimentary happy hour appetizers. Pool and Ping-Pong tables. TVs. Cushioned rattan seating.
