What to Expect: Designed in a contemporary, minimalist style, this adults-only resort is situated on an unspoiled 20-mile peninsula. Ideal for honeymooners and celebrating couples, the resort offers a peaceful, secluded retreat that seems worlds away from the hustle and bustle of Cancun.

Amenity Highlights: Guests have access to an array of activities including water sports, tennis, golf, cooking lessons, and yoga and aerobics classes. The full-service spa includes private relaxation rooms with heated waterbeds, Swedish saunas, and steam rooms (surcharge). Eight on-site restaurants offer a range of international cuisine including Italian, Japanese, and French. Room service is available 24 hours. Other amenities include concierge services and complimentary wireless Internet access.

Insider Tip: Located just a few miles offshore from the resort, Isla Mujeres is a popular destination for snorkeling and scuba diving. The island is also home to a turtle farm, which breeds and rehabilitates endangered sea turtles. The farm is open daily.

Amenities include four freestanding spa tubs, five spa tubs adjoined to pools, and seven outdoor pools, four of which are heated in the winter. The full-service day spa, Miilé Spa, offers massage and beauty treatments (surcharge), and the fitness center includes free weights, cardio and strength-training machines, and yoga and aerobics classes. In addition to a business center, the property offers meeting space for large and small groups, and complimentary wireless Internet access.
