The world-class resort of Ixtapa is located on beautiful Palmar Bay along a stretch of Pacific coastline known as the Costa Dorada (golden coast). Ixtapa - perhaps the most modern resort on México's west coast - is set against the lush backdrop of the Sierra Madre del Sur mountains. Presidente Inter-Continental Ixtapa is only 20 minutes from the airport.

At the end of the day, you can relax in your carefully appointed room in one of our deluxe tower rooms with full ocean view or allow yourself to be lulled to sleep to the soothing sound of waves caressing the beach in one of our colonial villas. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, satellite color television, telephones and private sitting areas. Non-smoking rooms and rooms for guests with special physical needs are also available.

All rooms feature a bathroom with tub and shower, which are supplied with shampoo/conditioner, hand and body lotion, bath and shower gel, soap, a hairdryer and upon request an iron. There is also a daily maid service.

You can also dance the night away in the Lobby Bar. And we must not forget the Daiquiri Factory on our beach and the Rincon Mexicano, which is open throughout the night for late-night "snackers". Guests can also dine in the privacy of their own room and order Room Service, which is available 24 hours a day.

Chiqui Club (Kids' Club)

While you relax, our free Chiqui Club programs ensure that your children are being looked after and entertained by our Chiqui Club team. Kids will gain a fuller understanding of México and its culture as well as having lots of fun and laughter.

Chiqui Club offers both fun and educational activities, many with a Mexican theme. To learn more about Mexican culture, kids are taught basic Spanish and authentic Mexican songs and dances in addition to playing Mexican games. Kids can also create and paint their own Mexican handicrafts and are taught how to make piñatas, a skill they can take home. Of course, there is also plenty of time for traditional resort games in the pool, etc.

We start off the week for the kids with a special party in their honor. Every Saturday at 3:00 pm, the celebration gets under way with clowns, games, contests and lots of surprises.

Every Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, our Chiqui Camp has surprises and adventures awaiting the "little ones", while mom and dad enjoy an elegant dinner at La Terraza Restaurant, confident that the children are under the watchful eye of true professionals.

The Chiqui Club program is available to all youngsters from 4 to 11 years old staying at the resort.
