Museums Visiting Manzanillo's University Museum of Archaeology is an excellent way to explore the cultural past of the Mexican west. The special, medium-sized boats available for hire in the port of Manzanillo allows sport fishing enthusiasts to sail in the high seas a short distance from the coast, where the depth of the water makes it perfect for catching large fish such as sailfish and black, striped and blue marlin. This gives Manzanillo a definite edge over other ports where you have to sail for two or three hours to reach the depths required for this sport. Horseback Riding The Hacienda de don Tomás Hacienda in Manzanillo has everything you need for horseback riding. Sailing Manzanillo has several marinas such as Playa Azul , La Audiencia and La Escondida that are worth visiting at night when the reflection of the boats' lights on the water is an attractive sight.
