Accommodations: Each of the all-suite accommodations has an in-room, 2-person Jacuzzi, private, furnished balcony or patio, 1 suspended king bed or two queen beds, sofas, 2-person breakfast tables, air-conditioning and climate control, daily refreshed mini bar, "Secrets Box" for private 24 hour room service delivery, bathrobes and slippers, MP3 player docking station, flat-screen TV, DVD player, electronic safe, phone, coffee maker, hairdryer, and iron/ironing board. Decor is sleek and minimalist, with light tones and shiny modern artwork. Suites come in an array of categories, including 2 sizes of junior suites, available with views of the expansive gardens, and swim-out access to the pools. Guests can also upgrade to the Preferred Club, an area of the resort offering exceptional services and amenities.

Dining & Entertainment: There are eight specialty restaurants, specializing in Italian, French, Mexican, Mediterranean, seafood, Pan-Asian, and grilled fare, as well as World Cafe, a casual buffet-style eatery with indoor/outdoor seating. Room service is available 24 hours a day. No reservations are required for any of the restaurants. An outdoor theater is the stage for shows and events both day and night. Drinks are served in eight bars, ranging from the Desires Music Lounge to Manatees swim-up bar.

Recreation: There are 8 different pools,totaling 43,000-square feet, including a spectacular infinity-edge pool with breathtaking views stretching to the horizon. Cancún means "nest of snakes" in Mayan, referring to the long and narrow island half of this coastal city.
