Gray-sanded beaches Some of the beaches with regular inclines, such as Los Muertos beach, have soft, grayish-white sand. The sand is a lighter tone of gray at Carrizo beach, and many of the other beaches, such as Macumba and Punta Negra , are also strewn with beautiful palm trees.

Los Arcos Of particular interest in Puerto Vallarta is the way the mountains join the ocean to form peaks and rocky crags. Some of these formations are magnificent, especially the one known as Los Arcos, located in the Mismaloya area.
