One of the most popular cafes, La Parroquia was founded in 1810 and throughout the years gained near legendary status. A true democracy, members of Mexico's working class as well as the rich and famous rubbed shoulders at this no-frills landmark. Originally located just off the main plaza, the new location, although less picturesque, is still quite popular.
