3 Days Hollyford Track Tour Package
Duration: 3 Days / 2 Nights Priced From: Contact Travelwizard

The dramatic Hollyford Valley is New Zealand's wilderness at its most undisturbed and inspiring. Unlike any other walk, the scenery is geologically spectacular and ever changing - snow capped mountains, glaciers, rainforests, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, reefs, sand dunes and surf. The diversity of landforms, vegetation and wildlife within this one valley is unequalled. The experiences you share with your small group (a maximum of 16 people) are just as diverse - hiking through World Heritage wilderness, a captivating jet boat down the river and across Lake McKerrow, exploring historical sights, and a scenic helicopter flight followed by a cruise on Milford Sound.
Arrive Queenstown in plenty of time for the pre-tour briefing which begins at 7pm at the Queenstown Information Centre.

Important Information
What to bring
Everything you need to know before you arrive.
Fitness
The walk is pleasantly challenging. You are going to be walking about five or six hours a day. As with any activity, it is more enjoyable if you have a reasonable level of fitness. Although the Hollyford Track is a low-altitude walk, we suggest you start an easy walking program in the weeks leading up to your departure. It will make all the difference to your enjoyment.
Footwear
Your boots are your best friend. We strongly recommend ankle height walking boots, sturdy but not too heavy, AND well broken in.
Clothing
You don't need lots of clothes, just the right clothes. Make sure your clothing is warm yet lightweight and practical. You will be walking in sub tropical rainforest and you always need to be prepared for the possibility of rain. Bring highly protective rain wear, as well as polypropylene long johns.
