Your vacation starts with drama - a floatplane tour to White Island - an active volcano. White Island is located off the Bay of Plenty coast. Experience the fury of nature at work on this awesome Island of the Pacific Ring of Fire. Fly over Hells Gate Thermal Valley and the Northern Lakes to the Pacific Ocean coastline. We'll circle over and view the crater and fearsome activity of White Island active volcano. Return flight is over Mt.Taraweras volcanic crater rift, the Steaming Cliffs, Waimangu Volcanic Valley, the Blue and Green Lakes, and the geysers of Whakarewarewa Thermal Valley.

Spend a morning sight seeing around Rotorua. You’ll visit Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve - see boiling mud pools and mighty geysers. Enjoy a guided tour and see Maori carving and weaving at the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute. Visit Rainbow Springs Nature Park - a unique showcase of native flora and fauna and features some of New Zealand’s endangered species. Take in a New Zealand Farm Show - an entertaining ‘hands-on’ experience, giving an animated insight into New Zealand’s industry and lifestyle.

This evening experience an authentic introduction to Maori culture that will leave you amazed and in awe. Enter the world of Mitai. Be enthralled by the natural bush setting, see warriors in traditional dress paddle an ancient warrior canoe (waka) down the Wai-o-whiro stream, and don't miss your only opportunity in the Rotorua area to see glow worms in their natural habitat. Marvel at the crystal clear water full of eels and trout, flowing directly from the earth at the sacred Fairy Spring. See your traditionally cooked hangi meal being lifted from the ground. During our cultural performance, you'll learn about our past, carvings and ta moko (tattoo art).Be captivated by the displays of weaponry and combat, coupled with the grace and beauty of the poi dance.
