Day 4: Auckland Tour this cosmopolitan city, largest city in New Zealand. Visit Victoria Park Market, Westhaven Marina and Waitemata Harbour. Choice of Hotels (B)
Day 5: Auckland / Waitomo / Rotorua Travel south through the fertile Waikato region to Waitomo, home to Waitomo Glowworm Caves. A boat tour takes you underground to see millions of glowworms. Drive through forested Mamaku Ranges to Rotorua. Choice of Hotels (B)
Day 6: Rotorua Discover Te Puia Thermal Reserve’s boiling mud pools and roaring geysers. Glimpse some of New Zealand’s bird life, trout and other wildlife before you visit a working farm to see sheep dog demonstrations and an introduction to the variety of sheep that contribute to the country’s reputation for fine wool products. Day 7: Rotorua / Wellington Travel south through attractive landscapes through popular lake resort of Taupo and along the lakeshore to Turangi. Drive Desert Road through lush farmland before arriving in Wellington, New Zealand’s capital. Choice of Hotels (B)
Day 8: Wellington Set between a magnificent harbor and rolling green hills, Wellington is a compact city with funky shops, exciting galleries and great restaurants – all within easy walking distance of downtown. Day 9: Wellington / Picton / Kaikoura Today, enjoy a pleasant ferry crossing from Wellington across Marlborough Sounds and its sparkling waters and lush forested shores. Dock at Picton, a small seaport on South Island. Travel south through the town of Blenheim before reaching Kaikoura, a town steeped in Maori history and legend. It is also known for whale watching, trout and salmon fishing, and amazing costal walks. Choice of Hotels (B)
Day 10: Kaikoura / Christchurch This morning, turn inland and travel through North Canterbury to lovely Christchurch, known for festivals from arts to ballooning to flowers. Choice of Hotels (B)
Day 11: Christchurch / Mt. Cook / Queenstown Travel across the fertile Canterbury Plains to Lake Tekapo and Church of the Good Shepherd., a small stone and oak chapel built in 1935. Then, on to New Zealand's highest mountain, Mt Cook. At 12,316 feet, Maori call it ‘Aorangi,’ the cloud piercer. Follow shores of Lake Pukaki through Central Otago region to Queenstown. Day 12: Queenstown/ Milford Sound / Queenstown Follow the southern arm of Lake Wakatipu to Lumsden, and onward to Lake Te Anau. Enter Eglinton Valley and travel through man-made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Cruise to this fantastic fiord, dominated by Mitre Peak and cascading Bowen Falls. Choice of Hotels (B)
Day 13: Queenstown Today is yours to explore the town, and take advantage of the optional attractions Queenstown offers from bungee jumping to whitewater rafting to gondola rides. Choice of Hotels (B)
Day 14: Queenstown / Glacier Region Travel along the shores of Lakes Wanaka and Hawea to the Haast Pass, gateway to World Heritage Westland National Park. Drive up the west coast past spectacular mountain ranges, native forests and lakes to the glacier region of Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers. Choice of Hotels (B)

Day 16: Glacier Region / Greymouth / Christchurch Travel north to Greymouth to board the remarkable Tranz Alpine train and ascend through lush beech forests past the alpine village of Arthur's Pass before crossing the spectacular Southern Alps.
