Begin your exploration in Christchurch, a charming place with a distinctively English feel and roots. From here, you will have a chance to visit Kaikoura to see the famous whales and dolphins that frolic offshore. Next, you will enjoy the TranzAlpine train to Greymouth, where you will begin your self-drive along the rugged West Coast to Franz Josef Glacier for a heli-hike excursion. Transfer to Queenstown, the self-described “adventure capital” of the country, for a day at Doubtful Sound (accessed by helicopter).
