wonderful itinerary, very fair value for what we paid. I still can't believe we got to spend 3 nights at The Remarkables Lodge. Every place else we stayed was very comfortable too, especially the Harbour House in Paihia--the service there was some of the most thoughtful we've ever had. There were a few glitches that couldn't be helped--cancelled or delayed flights mostly. I wish we had spent more time in both Wellington and Christchurch, but that would have been (& maybe will be) another trip. I have no favorite part; it was all good. came off great; we had a wonderful time. The Remarkables Lodge was remarkable; I'm sure you've heard that before--it was like being a guest at the home of friends. Every other place we stayed was also very nice--the one that really stood out was Harbor House in Opua. If you want more details about anything, I can write more when I've caught up on sleep. I have to tell you that our trip was phenomenal. I would only have tweaked a couple of small things. It was worth the money (and we spent a small fortune over there!) The hotels were great, some were even exceptional (especially Sky City Grand in Auckland and Sofitel in Queenstown!) Thank you for your good coordination of plans. We only had one instance when the limo driver was not there to pick us up and that was resolved promptly. All vouchers were accepted without a hitch and we only had 2 delays in flights which impacted nothing. We have told everyone who would listen about Travelwizard.com and maybe that will generate some future business. Ann and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We leave Friday for the San Francisco leg of the trip and look forward to returning home next Wed. Thanks, Kristy. Dear Sharon, Thank you for your email - you beat me - I was going to email you to let you know what a FABULOUS trip it was.? You truly planned out New Zealand perfectly.? We LOVED the B&B in Nelson and we loved equally the apartment in Queenstown.? WOW - perfect all the way around ....or as they say in Australia...."sweet as..."? Randy got certified in cairns and looooooved the diving.? The 3rd and 4th dives were great as he had passed everything in the first 2 dives, no problem. A bit of a dissappointment in Sydney for us - our new camera was stolen from us in a restaurant in Chinatown in Sydney.? We filed a police report and everything but the sad part was it had close to 400 pictures on it from the guys trip to Cairns and New Year's Eve with the fireworks.? But we wound up getting another camera because we knew we would need one for NZ.? Hence, 600 more pictures were clicked away.? We went sea Kayaking in Abel Tasman which was very very fun.? The guys went ATVing and I went horseback riding the next morning.? The drive down the coast was just beautiful.? A highlight for us was the helicopter ride thru Franz Josef glacier = landing in the glacier and then flying out -?? absolutely fabulous!!!!!? Queenstown was just a great little town and we did the shotover jet boats thru the canyons, rode the gondala and went on the luge at the top of the mountain.? We spectated the bungyjumpers but none of us could bring ourselves to do it - I'm perfectly okay with that too. We did it all in sydney too = toured the opera house, stolled thru the royal botanical gardens, went to the aquarium and wildlife house, Taronga Zoo, Manly Beach, visited Andrew's school, snorkeling, went to a barbe (barbeque) sunday night at Shelley Beach just around the corner from Manly Beach.? P.S. For your info (you may already know about this), but we tried out
surfing lessons at Bondi Beach through http://www.letsgosurfing.com.au/ and had a ball. I phoned them when we arrived in Sydney and the service was great. The two hour adult lesson was $75 AUD per person. Our kids even rated it "just a bit more fun" than the Bridge Climb.
