This program is designed for nature lovers who are interested in a comprehensive Galapagos experience -- an 8-day cruise around the Galapagos presents countless opportunities to learn about and enjoy the islands' unique flora and fauna. Start the journey in Quito, Ecuador's charming capital city, and enjoy a day of private touring that includes visits to many of the historic churches, plazas, and neighborhoods, as well as a fun ride on the new teleferico. From Quito, fly via Guayaquil to Baltra and board the Galapagos Evolution. For the next 8 days, you will navigate through these extraordinary islands in luxury, enjoying many opportunities to go on shore to observe the blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, sea lions, giant tortoises, and other creatures that famously inhabit the islands. Until sailors arrived a few centuries ago, no human had set foot in the Galapagos; as a result, the animals evolved in complete isolation, without fear of mankind or negative impact to their environment. This cruise will stop at the islands of San Cristóbal, Española, Punta Suarez, Santa Cruz, Santiago, Bartolomé, Genovesa, Darwin Bay, Isabela, Fernandina and North Seymour. After this once-in-a-lifetime adventure concludes, fly to Guayaquil for two nights, where your journey ends with a tour of this tropical, coastal city.
