If biology class were this much fun, we wouldn’t need summer vacation. The world’s greatest cage-less zoo, this volcanic archipelago teems with wild things your kids won’t see anywhere outside of science textbooks and the Discovery Channel. Lizards that swim? Meet sea lions, lava lizards and the awesome waved albatross on Punta Suarez

Hop into a panga and get a closer look at the world’s most northerly penguin

Tour the Charles Darwin Research Station

Day 6
Spot red-footed boobies and cormorants on the beaches of Genovesa Island, then go snorkelling in search of hammerhead sharks(!)
