Tour Itinerary

DAYS 1-2:

Depart on an overnight flight to Santiago, Chile's capital. On arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel. Today you have a chance to explore the colonial heart of the city as well as the glass towers of uptown Santiago. Stop at San Cristobal Hill for a panoramic view of the city and the omnipresent Andes and then browse through the handicrafts market for hand-knit sweaters, lapis lazuli or art.

DAY 3:

Head to the Colchagua Wine Valley, stopping en route at Altaïr Winery, where your host explains the techniques used to produce Altaïr and Sideral wines. Continue to the Viu Manent vineyard for a visit, tasting and lunch.

DAY 4:

Discover the huaso (local cowboy) culture when you spend the morning at a ranch amid the beautiful Andean landscape. You may ride horseback, hike or visit nearby ruins before spending time in the Museum of Colchagua. Take a break from the predominantly wine-related activities in the valley at Espíritus de Colchagua, a family-run, small-scale producer of organic liqueurs that you have the opportunity to sample.

DAY 5:

Always at the vanguard of premium and ultra-premium wine production, Viña Montes is a treat for wine lovers of all levels. Visit the vineyards today and enjoy a private, professional wine tasting and lunch. Later, fly to Mendoza, the center of Argentina's wine industry.

DAYS 6-7:

During your time in Mendoza, visit the Mayan-inspired Catena Zapata winery as well as the Vistalba winery. The highlight is dinner at renowned Francis Mallmann 1884 on the grounds of the historic Bodegas Escorihuela Gascon. There is also ample time at leisure to enjoy your hotel's spa and facilities.

DAY 8:

Fly to Santiago or Buenos Aires and connect with your international departure flight.
