Explora En Atacama, Hotel de Larache Vacations, Luxury Honeymoons and Travel Packages
Chile, South America Explora En Atacama, Hotel de Larache General Information
Our program, explora en Atacama, is an entire experience including our guided explorations, our gourmet food and what is most important, those unique moments shared with our staff and the local people. At explora, we believe that the Hotel is only a base to regain energy and start fresh the following day. Despite that, our Hotel is a truly enjoyable place!
In the case of explora en Atacama, the program is based at the Hotel de Larache, in the oasis of San Pedro. This property puts visitors in the middle of a fantasy where exploration, the leaving and returning, acquires a shape of its own.
Close to San Pedro de Atacama village, the hotel is located in Ayllú (neighborhood) de Larache, on ample terrain of more than 17 hectares (42 acres). The Property grounds, formed by twenty small farming lots, are respected and maintained as a historical testimony by explora. Accommodations include all you need for relaxation and the best means for exploring the Atacama lands.
Explora En Atacama, Hotel de Larache Accommodations

We believe our rooms should provide, above all, the necessary comfort to relax and be ready for our daily explorations. Therefore, our beds and pillows are superb, the silence at night is a must and water is so abundant that you can hardly believe you are in a desert.

Food & Wine
Our food is based on the simple details of quality and incorporates local products. Food is an essential part of our culture. For us, it is equally important to have the appropriate food not only at the lodge, but also while enjoying an exploration. During the latter, no matter how remote the location, our staff will always surprise you.
In addition, we frequently organize at our Quincho (traditional barbecue area) outdoor food activities where guests, staff and locals find a good reason to get together.
Wines are brought from different vineyards belonging to sister- companies, namely: Viña Gracia, Viña Porta, Viña Agustinos and Viña Veranda For those looking to explore deeper into Chile’s wine alternatives we have designed a premium selection list.

Horseback Riding : Horseback riding explorations have been designed for people with riding skills, who feel comfortable riding for several hours and must know how to trot and/or gallop. explora has the finest Chilean and English saddles, leather gaiters, and helmets.
Those who do not know how to ride and would like to learn, or those who have some experience but would like to improve their riding skills, can take early morning lessons (for no more than six people) and then leave to their walking or biking explorations. After at least two lessons, the instructor will determine whether the guest is qualified to go on a horseback riding exploration.
On Bicycle : Traveling along desert trails and ridges on a mountain bike is one of explora´s highlights. We offer the equipment that provides all the necessary comfort and safety to fully enjoy the geography of Atacama.
Equipment : We suggest bringing the following basic equipment:
- 20 - 35 liters backpack
