Arrive in Buenos Aires and, from your centrally located hotel, explore the elegant "Paris of South America" on foot. As complex as it is energetic and seductive, this port city has been the gateway to Argentina for centuries, bringing many porteños, or multi-national Buenos Aires residents, into its boundaries. Although it is reminiscent of Paris, the true spirit of the city is evident in its diverse neighborhoods, varied yet distinctly Argentine.

DAY 3:

Visit the colorful La Boca district, settled by Italian immigrants who worked the area's meatpacking plants and warehouses. This evening, explore San Telmo, birthplace of the tango. As you stroll the streets, hear the sensual tango music pouring from within. Look in most cafés and you might see people dancing the sultry dance of Argentina. Tonight, attend a dinner and show at one of the top tango venues.

DAYS 4-6

Fly to Bariloche, famous for its chocolate shops and restaurants in a picture-postcard setting. Bariloche is a worldrenowned resort town with scenery reminiscent of Alpine Europe, earning it the name "Little Switzerland." The region offers rich photo opportunities, where nature mixes a palette of rich greens and blues into a myriad of streams and lakes framed by snowcapped peaks and lightly clouded skies. Perhaps visit the Llao Llao Peninsula, beautiful Lopez Bay and the Cerro Campanario chairlift, offering spectacular views of the valley below. Your hotel offers myriad activities for family members of all ages, including golf, polo, kayaking, fishing, skiing (in winter), biking and spa services.

DAY 7:

Return to Buenos Aires and connect to Carmelo, a small village in Uruguay. Your resort is nestled among pine and eucalyptus trees near the Río de la Plata. Facilities here include optional spa services, golf, horseback riding and canoeing.

DAY 8-9:

You have two full days to enjoy the wide range of facilities available at your resort in Carmelo. The air is crisp and clear here, and the climate temperate year round - ideal for a family outing via horseback, canoe or bicycle.

DAY 10:

Transfer to the Carmelo airport to board your flight to Buenos Aires. On arrival, transfer to your hotel with the remainder of the day at leisure.

DAY 11-12:

Board your overnight flight home.
